Analysis Summary
In this Ransomware attack, the threat actors relied heavily on using windows services like PowerShell and third-party remote access tools to deliver their attack. The PowerShell scripts were designed by the attacker to repeatedly create Windows services to browse over SMB. They also consisted of random and jumbled-up letters. As the machines already contained previously installed remote access tools, the attackers had a wealth of opportunities to exploit these vulnerabilities.
