As an IT Administrator at Rewterz, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure. Your role is critical in maintaining the security, availability, and performance of our technology environment. You play a key part in implementing and managing IT policies, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing support to employees across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Administration: Maintain and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Ensure network security and optimal performance.
- System Administration: Manage servers, virtualization platforms, and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux). Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.
- Security Management: Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities. Monitor systems for security breaches and respond to incidents promptly.
- User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring devices, and resolving connectivity problems.
- Data Backup and Recovery: Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters.
- Software Deployment and Patch Management: Manage software deployments, updates, and patches. Ensure software license compliance and maintain an inventory of software assets.
- IT Policy Development: Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- IT Infrastructure Planning: Collaborate with IT leadership to plan and implement infrastructure upgrades and expansions. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors and service providers to procure IT equipment, software licenses, and support services. Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
- IT Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to educate employees on IT best practices, security protocols, and the use of technology resources.
- Data Center Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of data center facilities, including power and cooling systems, racks, and physical security. Ensure high availability and reliability of data center services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT administration or a related role, preferably in the cybersecurity or technology sector including data center management.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, server administration, and cybersecurity principles.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network equipment.
- Familiarity with ITIL principles and best practices for IT service management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
