IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1 and 11.2 is vulnerable to cross-site scripting. This vulnerability allows users to embed arbitrary JavaScript code in the Web UI thus altering the intended functionality potentially leading to credentials disclosure within a trusted session.
CVE-2023-28530 CVSS:5.4
IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1 and 11.2 is vulnerable to stored cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of SVG Files in Custom Visualizations. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute scripts in a victim’s Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim’s cookie-based authentication credentials.
