Analysis Summary

CVE-2021-40500 

SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by improper handling of XML external entity (XXE) declarations. By persuading a victim to open a specially crafted XML content, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to retrieve arbitrary files from the server.

CVE-2021-40499 

SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP could allow a locally authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a flaw in the Client-side printing services. By sending a specially crafted request, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system.

CVE-2021-40498 

SAP SuccessFactors Mobile Application for Android is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by improper input validation. By sending a specially-crafted request to crash or flood the service, a locally authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability to prevent legitimate users from accessing a service, and results in a denial of service condition.

CVE-2021-40497 

SAP BusinessObjects Analysis could allow a remote authenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by a flaw in the application endpoints. By sending a specially-crafted request, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to obtain some system-specific data, and use this information to launch further attacks against the affected system.

CVE-2021-40496 

SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP and ABAP Platform could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by improper access control by the the authentication function. By sending a specially-crafted request using the POST and form field, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary commands on the system.

CVE-2021-40495 

SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP and ABAP Platform are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an use-after-free flaw in the public SICF service. By sending a specially-crafted request, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to reduce the performance on the application and results in a denial of service condition.

CVE-2021-38183 

SAP NetWeaver is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the cms service. A remote authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability using a specially-crafted URL to execute script in a victim’s Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, once the URL is clicked. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim’s cookie-based authentication credentials.

CVE-2021-38181 

SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP and ABAP Platform are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by improper input validation. By sending a specially-crafted request, a remote authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the service to crash and prevent legitimate users from accessing a service.

CVE-2021-38180 

SAP Business One could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by a CSV injection flaw. By using a specially-crafted .CSV file, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary commands on the system.

CVE-2021-38179 

SAP Business One could allow a local authenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by a flaw in the Debug function in the Admin UI. By sending a specially-crafted request, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to obtain user credentials in the captured packet contents, and use this information to launch further attacks against the affected system.

CVE-2021-38178 

SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP and ABAP Platform could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a bypassing issue in the established quality gates. By transferring ABAP code artifacts or content to quality and production, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system.
