Analysis Summary

CVE-2020-0963

An information disclosure vulnerability exists when the Windows GDI component improperly discloses the contents of its memory. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could obtain information to further compromise the user’s system.

CVE-2020-1072

An information disclosure vulnerability exists when the Windows kernel improperly handles objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could obtain information to further compromise the user’s system.

To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would have to log on to an affected system and run a specially crafted application. The vulnerability would not allow an attacker to execute code or to elevate user rights directly, but it could be used to obtain information that could be used to try to further compromise the affected system.

CVE-2020-1075

An information disclosure vulnerability exists when Windows Subsystem for Linux improperly handles objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could obtain information to further compromise the user’s system.

A attacker could exploit this vulnerability by running a specially crafted application.

CVE-2020-1075

An information disclosure vulnerability exists where certain modes of the search function in Microsoft SharePoint Server are vulnerable to cross-site search attacks (a variant of cross-site request forgery, CSRF).

When users are simultaneously logged in to Microsoft SharePoint Server and visit a malicious web page, the attacker can, through standard browser functionality, induce the browser to invoke search queries as the logged in user. While the attacker can’t access the search results or documents as such, the attacker can determine whether the query did return results or not, and thus by issuing targeted queries discover facts about documents that are searchable for the logged-in user.

CVE-2020-1103

An information disclosure vulnerability exists where certain modes of the search function in Microsoft SharePoint Server are vulnerable to cross-site search attacks.

CVE-2020-1116

An information disclosure vulnerability exists when the Windows Client Server Run-Time Subsystem (CSRSS) fails to properly handle objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could obtain information to further compromise the user’s system.

To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would first have to log on to the system. An attacker could then run a specially crafted application.

CVE-2020-1141

An information disclosure vulnerability exists in the way that the Windows Graphics Device Interface (GDI) handles objects in memory, allowing an attacker to retrieve information from a targeted system. By itself, the information disclosure does not allow arbitrary code execution; however, it could allow arbitrary code to be run if the attacker uses it in combination with another vulnerability.

CVE-2020-1145

An information disclosure vulnerability exists in the way that the Windows Graphics Device Interface (GDI) handles objects in memory, allowing an attacker to retrieve information from a targeted system. By itself, the information disclosure does not allow arbitrary code execution; however, it could allow arbitrary code to be run if the attacker uses it in combination with another vulnerability.

CVE-2020-1173

A spoofing vulnerability exists in Microsoft Power BI Report Server in the way it validates the content-type of uploaded attachments. An authenticated attacker could exploit the vulnerability by uploading a specially crafted payload and sending it to the user.

CVE-2020-1179

An information disclosure vulnerability exists when the Windows GDI component improperly discloses the contents of its memory. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could obtain information to further compromise the user’s system.

Impact

  • Information disclosure
  •  Cross-site search attacks
