Analysis Summary

CVE-2022-27491 CVSS:6.8

Fortinet FortiOS is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a improper verification of source of a communication channel. By sending specially-crafted TCP requests, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service.

CVE-2021-43080 CVSS:4.6

Fortinet FortiOS is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the Threat Feed IP address section of the Security Fabric External connectors. A remote authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability using the URI parameter to inject malicious script into a Web page which would be executed in a victim’s Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, once the page is viewed. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim’s cookie-based authentication credentials.
